If you're not sure whether it's worth it to have your old knife set sharpened by a professional knife sharpening service then I can tell you the answer is almost always Yes. If you use them regularly and enjoy using them then they're worth sharpening no matter how old or cheap they are. On the flipside, you could have a set of J.A Henckels or Wusthöf that have sat in the drawer for the past 5 years because you don't enjoy using them.
